    Overview

    Waiting roomThe East Valley Healthcare Center (EVHC) is located near Country Club Drive and Guadalupe Road in Gilbert. It is one of four healthcare center locations owned by Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS). JFCS is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening the community by providing behavioral health, healthcare and social services to individuals and families of all ages, faiths and backgrounds.

    In 2020, EVHC moved from its original location in Mesa to its current larger location in Gilbert. The move allowed EVHC to expand its health services to include primary care offerings such as physicals and immunizations. EVHC offers adults behavioral care and medical services in one location.     East Valley Room

    EVHC is certified by HealthyVerify, a private business that specializes in health-safety protocols. It has also been designated as a Mercy Care Center of Excellence for Transitioned Youth and a Blue Cross Blue Shield Arizona Center of Excellence for Transitional Aged Youth.

    EVHC provides behavioral care services, including psychiatric care, medication services, individual and group therapy and substance abuse treatment. Primary care services for adults include annual wellness exams, blood work and treatment for acute pain and injuries.

    JFCS does not deny access to integrated health services for individuals within Maricopa County based on their ability to pay. JFCS has a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.

      Services include psychiatric care, individual and group counseling, family therapy, trauma therapy, and play therapy.
    • Primary Care
      Services for adults include treatment for cold and flu, acute pain and injuries, and annual wellness exams.
    • Integrated Care
      A comprehensive approach that provides both behavioral and primary care services to ensure person-centered care.
    • Substance Use Disorders
      Services include therapy and counseling to help support an individual's mental health and sobriety.
    • Sand Tray Therapy
      A form of expressive therapy used by clinicians to help individuals cope with anxiety and traumatic experiences.
    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
      A form of therapy that helps individuals with distressing symptoms that develop after traumatic experiences.
    • High Care Needs
      Services are provided by case managers who specialize in determining and supporting child and family needs.
    • Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
      Services are provided by clinicians that are certified to evaluate for SMI designations and provide needed care.
