Maximize Your Impact With an IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution
Did you know you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those
we serve while enjoying tax benefits? If you are 70½ years or older,
you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your
Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Jewish Family & Children’s
Service (JFCS).
Why Consider a QCD?
-
Tax Advantages: A QCD allows you to reduce your taxable income, even if you don’t
itemize deductions on your tax return.
-
Satisfy Your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD): If you’re 73 or older and required to take a minimum distribution
from your IRA, a QCD can count toward your RMD.
-
Support Our Mission: Your gift ensures JFCS can continue providing critical services to individuals
and families in need across Maricopa County.
How It Works
- Contact your IRA plan administrator to initiate a QCD.
-
Provide our legal name, address and tax ID for the transfer:
Jewish Family and Children’s Service
4747 N. 7th St., Suite 100, Phoenix, AZ 85014
Tax ID: 86-0096781
- Ensure the distribution is made directly to JFCS to qualify as a QCD.
Important Details
- Gifts up to $105,000 per year may qualify as a QCD.
- The amount transferred directly to JFCS will not be included in your taxable income.
Your Impact
A QCD is a simple and powerful way to support our programs, from providing
mental health counseling to helping seniors maintain independence. Every
dollar you give through a QCD directly benefits our community.
