For more than 85 years, Jewish Family & Children’s Service has been a lifeline for the community. When facing trauma and crisis, the 40,000 individuals we serve every year know they can rely on our organization for support.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has challenged our resolve, but we forged ahead, taking steps to ensure zero lapse in member services. We accelerated our strategic initiative to implement telehealth services across all programs and in mid-March, quickly pivoted to deliver almost all critical services remotely.
Since many JFCS services still require face-to-face interaction between the client and our caregivers, we knew we had to do everything we could to ensure that those interactions were safe for all involved. Enter HealthyVerify Certified. HealthyVerified is the country’s only medically based, scientific and professional full-service certification company that helps organizations likes ours minimize the risk of transmitting infectious disease.
The HealthyVerify certification means we have demonstrated that we have developed and implemented disease-reducing procedures, creating a safe and healthy environment for everyone that visits a JFCS location, including all three integrated healthcare centers and our outpatient behavioral health clinic.
This is just one more example of what we are doing to protect our employees and the individuals that visit our integrated healthcare centers in order to do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. Our HealthyVerify certification means we have implemented procedures for maintaining a healthy environment with proper day-to-day healthcare practices.
The health and safety of JFCS clients, staff and volunteers is our highest priority. We continue to monitor the situation and are committed to serving the needs of our clients during times of public health disruption. When possible, we will utilize tele-mental health protocols and phone sessions. We are in touch with our clients and staff to make them aware of how to continue professional efforts in a safe manner, and have a process for changing schedules and practices based on recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS).
